New Galaxy Note 8 Leaks

Taking a look back at seven days of news and headlines across the world of Android, this week’s Android Circuit includes the latest details on the Galaxy Note 8's expensive price and weak battery, a concept video of the Pixel 2 XL, the OnePlus 5’s rocky week, UK release details for the new Nokia-branded handsets, Carl Zeiss’ smartphone return, Microsoft’s latest update, and the EU eyes up Android.

Android Circuit is here to remind you of a
few of the many things that have happened around Android in the last week.
The Pricey Galaxy Note 8
While Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note phablet is expected to be one of the most advanced smartphones on the planet when announced, it’s looking like it’s going to be one of the most expensive.
Quoted from Forbes Gordon Kelly Reports:
"Quoting an unnamed Samsung Electronics official, Korean site Osen says it has learned retail pricing for the entry level 64GB Galaxy Note 8 will start from as high as $1,100. This is $250 more than a 64GB Galaxy S8 Plus and $130 more than a 256GB iPhone 7 Plus.
Osen says Samsung will also introduce a 128GB Galaxy Note 8 which, presumably, is going to be even more expensive"
One thing that high price of the Note 8 does not include is a specification-busting battery. With an expected 3300 mAh battery, the massive handset’s battery capacity is less than that of the Galaxy S8, or last year’s Note 7. The Note 8’s smaller battery is mitigated by the presence of convenient charging options. The Note 8 is expected to include wireless charging, allowing for the phablet to be topped up throughout the day when it is sitting at a fixed point with a wireless charging station. The more traditional cabled charging approach should benefit from the same rapid charging feature and adaptive fast charger carried by the Galaxy S8 family. That means topping up the handset requires less effort and time, but the new hardware could place a lot of demands on the smaller battery.
